Mandy, Indiana Drop Video For “The Driving Rain (18)”

Mandy, Indiana have announced a run of US tour dates in support of their lauded debut album, i’ve seen a way, released last month on Fire Talk. i’ve seen a way “fuses dance rhythms, corroded guitars, and seething vocals into a transfixing blend of violence and transcendence.”

These shows mark the band’s debut performances in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, a much-anticipated return to the United States following their exciting run at SXSW earlier this year. Mandy, Indiana thrive in the unexpected, and their live sets have become a vehicle to explore the boundaries of tension and release. Full dates are listed below, and tickets are on sale this Friday, June 23rd at 10am local time.

Along with the news, the UK band have shared a music video for album track, “The Driving Rain (18),” made by producer/guitarist Scott Fair using found anime clips.

Recorded in caves, crypts and shopping malls, i’ve seen a way is an exquisitely rendered debut, expertly twisting genre to channel the chaos of everyday life. Mandy, Indiana draw on a broad sonic palette of experimental noise and industrial electronics, with frontwoman Valentine Caulfield’s lyrics of fury and fairytales completing the band’s soundworld. Together, Caulfield, Fair, synthesist Simot Catling and drummer Alex Macdougall have created a sound that they can be proud, to be called their own.
