Malibu Ken "Corn Maze"

Malibu Ken, is the creative force, behind Aesop Rock and abstract-fidelity analog-synth experimenter TOBACCO (of Black Moth Super Rainbow), have shared a video for “Corn Maze,” an indelible anti-social anthem from their forthcoming self-titled album (due January 18th via Rhymesayers). The Rob Shaw-directed clip depicts Aesop in an insomniac daze where bizarre late night cartoons seem to become self-aware, which proves a sympathetic pairing with TOBACCO’s heady, distorted beats

Malibu Ken’s forthcoming 10-song release exudes a creative synergy that exceeds expectations, as TOBACCO’s pseudo-futuristic production style provides an unpredictably infectious and sublime bedrock for Aesop’s meticulously detailed narratives. The collection is rounded out by nightmarish sleeve art by GUNSHO replete with die-cut gatefold LP & CD sleeves that include a perforated pop-out mask with elastic string.
