Magdalena Bay unveils their new project Nice Day: A Collection of Singles. The project features the band’s string of double singles and two more new tracks: “This Is The World (I Made It For You)” and “Nice Day.” “This is the final pair (we made it for you),” says the band. “Thank you for listening to these songs, it’s been a nice day to tangle with you.”

The project features three recently released double singles from the band, who returned last month with “Second Sleep”—featuring an official video directed by Amalia Irons––and “Star Eyes.” Together, the tracks marked the first new music following their album Imaginal Disk and served as a spiritual successor to the LP. Two pairs of complementary songs—“Human Happens” and “Paint Me a Picture,” plus “Unoriginal” and “Black-Eyed Susan Climb”—were unveiled shortly after.

The duo has taken the Imaginal Mystery Tour to festivals including Portola Music Festival, Austin City Limits and III Points, plus massive headline shows at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Forever Cemetery and Washington DC’s Anthem with a slew of dates across the U.S. They will continue to Orlando’s Mad Soul Festival in early December, followed by a New Year’s Eve show at Denver’s Mission Ballroom that will conclude their North America run. In celebration of the LP’s one-year anniversary, Magdalena Bay teased the release of the long-awaited album movie. Directed by Amanda Kramer and written and edited by Tenenbaum and Lewin, the film elaborates on the world of Imaginal Disk. The band revealed elements of the story in the videos for “Death & Romance,” “Image” and “That’s My Floor,” as well as in their performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and on the road on the Imaginal Mystery Tour.
