England’s Higher Power have shared “Low Season,” a brand-new track off their Roadrunner Records debut LP, 27 Miles Underwater. Recorded with producer Gil Norton (Pixies) at Modern World Studios in Tetbury, England, 27 Miles Underwater follows Higher Power’s LP, Soul Structure. The full-length drops on January 24th via Roadrunner Records.

Vocalist Jimmy Wizard told The FADER, “The crazy thing about this song is I wrote the lyrics this exact time last year. We had just got back from tour to winter in England and I was feeling lost, and the weather was not helping me being stuck inside going crazy. This song is just about that dark feeling of hopelessness winter sometimes brings when it feels like you will never see light again.”

Higher Power includes, brothers Jimmy Wizard (vocals) and Alex Wizard (drums), Louis Hardy (guitar), Max Harper (guitar), and Ethan Wilkinson (bass), Higher Power quickly established themselves as a crossover force with their self-titled three-song demo in early 2015. Bucking trends and forgoing boundaries, word of the group’s NYHC inspired grooves and positive expression quickly spread throughout England. Space to Breathe, a three-song 7-inch, followed in August 2015 stacking layers of social consciousness and progressive intellect on top of the band’s trashing compositions. Higher Power have been embraced for their euphoric performances on tours alongside Turnstile, Angel Du$t, and Knocked Loose.
