LORD HURON Sign To IAMSOUND & Announce Album; Announcing PLAY MOCA, Free Music Series In LA With MOCA

IAMSOUND this week have signed LA’s Lord Huron, and we will be releasing the debut full-length album Lonesome Dreams on October 9th. Lord Huron have released two very well-received EPs and have been hard at work finishing up their LP.

Lord Huron is the musical and visual projected created by lead singer and Michigan native-turned-Angeleno Ben Schneider. They have played at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, SXSW and more. The band will be supporting Lonesome Dreams with a headlining US tour this fall.

PLAY MOCA is a a multimedia event series that we have been curating with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and IO Echo for the past few months. Taking place over three Fridays in July and August, the event series will feature live performances from acts such as Salem, Zola Jesus, Cults, IO Echo, Lord Huron and Active Child, as well as visuals for each show provided by Drew Barrymore, LA Dance Project/Benjamin Millepied and Rodarte, and Emmett Malloy.There will also be DJ sets from HEALTH and Taken By Trees. All events are free and all ages, and you will be able to reserve your free tickets through brownpapertickets.com about a week or so before each event. Tickets for the first show on July 27th will be available tomorrow for MOCA members, and to the general public the week after.
