Excitement had been building as fans looked forward to AURORA’s return. She kicked off the first stop of her What Happened To The Earth? Part 5: Europe tour in Stockholm, where Fryshuset was filled to the brim with eager fans.

There’s something truly extraordinary about AURORA. Renowned for her captivating live shows, AURORA effortlessly blends movement, emotion, and visuals to create an immersive experience. She radiates warmth and humor when she speaks between songs, but once the music starts, she transforms into something ethereal—almost otherworldly. It’s as if a spirit takes over, and all you can do is watch in awe. Her presence is deeply human and, at the same time, unexplainable. It’s something that has to be experienced.

Throughout the night, she used her platform to advocate for causes close to her heart—mental health, equality, and global awareness. She dedicated “Runaway” to the people of Palestine and Congo. During “Kingdom Come,” she waved the LGBTQ+ flag proudly, celebrating love and equality with the stage lit up in rainbow colors.

The way the visuals and music worked together felt effortless and immersive. Throughout the evening, the backdrop visuals enhanced every beat of the music, adding depth without ever distracting from the performance.

What stood out was how present the audience was—hardly anyone had their phones out. Instead, people were locked in, watching AURORA with full attention, like they didn’t want to miss a single second.

AURORA also made time for laughter and connection. She mentioned that she doesn’t like speaking Norwegian because it makes her feel like a child again, choosing English instead so it would feel more inclusive—especially with so many international fans in the audience. She told personal stories, spoke openly about vulnerability—like how we forget to scream when we’re in pain as adults, something we did instinctively as infants. She even mentioned being on her period—a refreshingly candid moment—and how she doesn’t like that shops close so early in the Nordic countries, especially when you want a drink.

She returned for the encore with “Cure For Me,” turning the whole floor into a dance party as visuals from the music video danced on the screen behind her. She gradually brought the energy back down with “Some Type of Skin” and finally “Invisible Wounds,” a beautiful ending to a beautiful night.

AURORA is truly one of a kind. With a sound and spirit entirely her own, she captivates from start to finish—blending intensity, lightness, vulnerability, and humor in a way few artists can. The lights, visuals, and sound combined transported you into another dimension, leaving you in awe—and all you could do, and wanted to do, was go along for the ride.
