Danish band Iceage will release their new LP Beyondless, on May 4th via Matador Records. The band will hit the road for a lengthy tour, starting Narch 22nd in Brooklyn, NY.

Iceage have previously shared “Catch It” and “Pain Killer” featuring Sky Ferreira. In conjunction with the band’s international Opening Nights residencies kicking off this evening in New York, Iceage today, the band release their new single “Take It All.” Augmented by the transcendent violin of Nils Grøndahl, “Take It All” may be the song off Beyondless that best shows the very special cohesion of these four childhood friends and musicians, and the striking progression in their performances and production. After an encompassing intro.

Elias Bender Rønnenfelt pleads:

While there was an air of a paradigm shift
And men were dying for the death of the west
Oh yeah
And the last thing I ever wanted to see was these brand new sparkles
Coming from your ever loving God damned eyes
Yeah
If you want it
You can have it
If you want to reap me
Take it all away

In curating the Opening Nights residencies, in addition to the music, Iceage wanted to feature some of their favorite visual art at each show, including art by friends of theirs and/or whose work they appreciate. Each artist was given a plain, white vinyl cover, Beyondless lyrics, the two previously released singles,“Catch It” and “Pain Killer,” and a maximum of one week’s time. In turn, they could create whatever they pleased, resulting in laser-cut covers, paintings, prints, linocuts, drawings, a lyric book, and more. There are more than 40 covers in total, all created on an intuition basis.
