“Light Years” by Marissa Nadler

Marissa Nadler releases “Light Years,” the final single/video from her forthcoming tenth album, New Radiations, available August 15th via Sacred Bones, along with the new video, Nadler has announced a run of North American Tour. “Light Years,” Follows the artist’s previous single “Hatchet Man.” “Light Years” explores the theme of fading love, with the autoharp adding an ethereal, sparkling quality to the music. The chorus—“You used to see light years inside her / you used to be right there beside her”—captures the slow, quiet death of a once-bright connection. “Back in the day, you were all the rage / when you could still hypnotize her. Rockets and planes, and through hurricanes / fused to the sight of her fire.”

New Radiations was Produced by Nadler, and recorded in Nashville, both at Haptown Studios with the help of friend Roger Moutenot, and her home studio. Mixed by Randall Dunn (Earth, Sunn O))).
