Low Points share new EP 'Feels'.

Low Points are a quintessentially Southern California band. Mixing the sing along choruses of bands like Weezer with the sugary, D.G.A.F surf fuzz of early WAVVES, Low Points’ debut EP ’Feels’ is bursting with stony slacker punk hooks. Led by songwriter Kevin Vega (Space Heat) and consisting of Jakob McWhinney (Space Heat, Ex-The Soaks, Spooky Cigarette), Frank Mindingall (Spooky Cigarette, Ale Mania, Northern Tigers) and Jeremy Hoover, Low Points are a fresh and honest take on garage pop.

The band balance surf rock rhythms and hard-hitting guitar riffs with deeply personal lyrics dealing with alienation and depression to create a sound that is at once catchy and haunting. Their four song debut, ‘Feels’ bounds from influences like the gritty garage pop of Mike Krol (with whom they’ve shared the stage), pseudo emo-revival of Cloud Nothings to the surf punk of Tijuana Panthers, all the while maintaining a unique and memorable voice.

‘Feels’ was released on March 3rd, 2017 through Field Trips & Bleeding Gold Records.
