Ahead of the release of their new LP North East Coastal Town, UK band, LIFE has shared a video for “Duck Egg Blue”, the final single ahead of the alum’s release on August 19th. The track features vocalist Mez Green’s boisterous and sardonic vocal style is swapped for tender, ruminative lyrics that glide across a meditative rhythm section, which ebbs and flows with subtle electronic elements around a gentle guitar loop.

Speaking on the new release Mez says: “‘Duck Egg Blue’ is a realist’s love song. The journey of trying to navigate through each other’s feelings and emotions, the strains of close quarters trapped in a tiny flat, the minutiae of everyday life. The overarching sentiment is that no matter what happens, after all that is said and done, we love each other, and we are there for each other.”

Life will be performing a run of in-store dates the week of release followed by a local celebration in Hull on Sat 3 September at The Social. Recent summer festival dates have seen the band play the likes of BST Hyde Parksupporting Pearl Jam, Long Division Festival, Colours of Ostrava (CZ), and more. The band will soon play Sea Power’s Krankenhaus festival in the Lakes, and Mad Cool Sunset Festival in Madrid. UK & EU album tours will follow in the Autumn – full listings below.
