LIARS have unveiled a video for new single, “I’m No Gold”, out on November 4^th, 2014, in advance of their performance in New York City’s Central Park for Modern Sky Festival, Saturday October 4^th.

Following seven years of growth across China, Modern Sky is the country’s largest music festival and is set to come to the U.S. for the first time ever, bringing a wide-ranging, two-day musical gathering to New York, at Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield, October 4^th & 5^th, 2014.  Liars will perform at 8pm on Saturday, October 4^th, followed by an after-party DJ set at Brooklyn’s Passenger Bar at 1am.

Modern Sky Festival comes just prior to a European tour beginning in Paris on October 9^th, and sees Liars return to the UK with an appearance at Bristol’s Simple Things Festival (October 25th), Dublin’s Button Factory (October 26th), Liverpool’s Music Week at the Kazimier (October 31st) with a London date, their first since 2012, at Village Underground on November 1^st which will feature a hand picked line up that includes DJ sets from Daniel Miller and The Haxan Cloak (TriAngle), plus live sets from Vessel (TriAngle) and patten (Warp).

“I’m No Gold”, taken from Liars’ latest album Mess, will include a remix from Mute’s Daniel Miller, plus two exclusive new tracks – Poison Bender and At The Mercy Of Her Mind – full tracklisting below.

Mess – the follow up to 2012’s WIXIW – is an angry, ecstatic, primal burst of ritualistic electronics that sacrifices self-persecution for potent, purposeful abandon and sees Liars if maybe not quite at ease with the world, then at least staring it straight in the eye and showing their teeth.
