Leisure Cruise Signs To Last Gang, LP Out 3/6

Leisure Cruise Signs to Last Gang. Debut album out on 5/6. New single "Sailing", streaming now on Soundcloud. Leisure Cruise will announce live dates soon.

Every dark cloud has a silver lining. After Hurricane Sandy left Lower Manhattan powerless and Red Hook submerged, New Yorkers came together all over the city and throughout Brooklyn. It was then that Dave Hodge – the veteran Canadian musician (Broken Social Scene), arranger (Janet Jackson/Neptunes, Carly Simon), and composer (through his company Finger Music) was sitting in a café when his acquaintance Leah Siegel (Firehorse, The Citizen’s Band) walked by. The two had met while recording a TV spot years prior but hadn’t seen each other since. Maybe it was the post-Sandy you-only-live-once feeling but Dave asked Leah if she’d want to do some writing together. The result is Leisure Cruise.

Leisure Cruise recently signed to Last Gang Records and will release their debut, self-titled album on May 6th. The lead track Sailing, is a soaring journey of punchy synths and 80’s-inspried intergalactic vocals – listen to the song above.
