Lady Rizo’s new single, “Sometimes The Sky’s Too Bright”, comes off of her new full-length Indigo. The full-length comes out August 18th. Lady Rizo is the leading musical resident at Joe’s Pub and is known for her transforming nightclub-pop into experiences that are more soulful, and more theatrical. She is breaking away from the Joe’s Pub stage for a little while to focus more on her musical career and new album

“It was such a delight to inhabit Dylan Thomas’ words for this song. They are so fresh, physical, immediate and modern even though it was written in 1930. Thomas was the original rock n’ roll poet- largely inspiring the beat movement, as well as Bob Dylan and the Beatles. I fell in love with his cannon a couple years ago and with this haunting composition I feel like I can invite listeners to calmly witness the occasionally overwhelming intensity and dazzle of life.”
