Labrador City share single “The Shell”

Labrador City share single "The Shell" from 'The Kiss Hello' EP,

Labrador City are proud to present The Kiss Hello EP which marks the band’s third release and features four brand new tracks.

Labrador City’s new songs fit an 80s Road Movie or any indie flick of recent years. Singer Nik Stettler’s voice has shifted into a lower key and breathes a more serious tone into their music. Yet, the songs remain casual and laid back. A mood of relaxation. An engine soothingly hums. Somebody taps their fingers against the dashboard.

The Kiss Hello EP forms part of an organic process for the band. They have consciously taken their time to compose, experiment and explore new sounds. There are obvious references to the 80s – recalling the soundscapes first employed by English Post-Punk and Wave bands. Furthermore, their songs have taken a more tangible approach on the lyrical level: Contemplating turning points, departures and experiences.

Over the past few years, Labrador City have played festivals in Switzerland, among them the Openair St. Gallen, Caprices Festival and the M4Music Festival in Zürich.
