Jay Som – a.k.a. – Bay Area-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Melina Duterte – will release her debut album next month, and today she shares its third single. “Baybee” premieres today with a snowy Charlotte Hornsby-directed music video, in which Duterte makes her first music video appearance.

Everybody Works will be out on March 10 through Polyvinyl Records in North American and Double Denim in Europe, UK, and Japan.. It is available for preorder now. Jay Som will take her new record out on the road this spring. The run will consist of stops at SXSW (showcases yet to be announced), a co-headlining tour with The Courtneys, and shows supporting The Drums. See below for all forthcoming dates.

Last year, Jay Som released her early collection of songs entitled Turn Into, signed with Polyvinyl Records, toured with the likes of Mitski, Japanese Breakfast, Peter Bjorn & John, and more, and put out a 7-inch single on Fat Possum Records. After a whirlwind year, Jay Som is ready to release Everybody Works, the 22 year-old’s first proper album which she wrote, recorded, played and produced entirely by herself, except for a few backing vocals. Duterte even ditched most her demos, writing half the album on the spot.
