ira glass announces their new EP, joy is no knocking nation, will arrive on November 11th via Angel Tapes/Fire Talk (Shower Curtain, Just Penelope), ahead of the album’s arrival, the Chicago band have shared single/video, “fd&c red 40.” The new EP Follows the release of their 2024 debut EP, compound turbulence flexing for the heat. The band includes Lise Ivanova (guitar/vocals), Landon Kerouac (drums), Jill Roth (saxophone), and Kaleb Wallace (bass). ira glass kick off their tour on October with a hometown show at the Empty Bottle.

“fd&c red 40.” is accompanied by ira glass’ first-ever music video, helmed by PERSON, which collages ira glass’ distinct visual motifs alongside homespun footage shot around the band’s base of Chicago.
