Vancouver, British Columbia artist Harrison Brome has shared the follow-up to his EP Strange with the release of new single, “In The Dark.” The track sees Brome teaming up once again with collaborator and Grammy-winning producer Pomo (KAYTRANADA, Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak).

Harrison Brome on “In The Dark:”

“I wanted to write about the footsteps of a stalker who hides in the shadows of an ex-relationship. Following and watching as their relationship grows apart and moves onto the next, there is this feeling of being left alone in the dark. I was inspired by The Police “Every Breathe You Take” where the song sits in this elegant and melancholic delivery, but has somewhat of a sinister undertone with the writing. This was actually one of the first songs that I had written coming into the pandemic and thought it would fit well with the new direction I’ve been moving in musically.”

Music has been integral to the life of the 25-year-old producer, songwriter, and vocalist since he found out he had dyslexia at an extremely early age. Struggling with reading and writing at a young age, Harrison’s mother bought him a karaoke machine; singing out words and reading while he sang became integral to managing his dyslexia. Brome has appeared at Bumbershoot, Osheaga Music & Arts Festival, Electric Forest, The Great Escape, and many more. “In The Dark” is now available via Nettwerk Records and DSPs.
