Penelope Isles has released new single “I Loved You, Robert Pattinson,” the track is off their forthcoming LP, 3 out September 25 via Bella Union. Following the release of lead single “Thinking Seat.” The song references one of Lily Wolter’s favourite actors, Robert Pattinson (during the Twilight era, circa 2008). The accompanying music video features home recordings of the band’s time making the album at Black Bay Studios in The Outer Hebrides, Scotland while also crabbing and making friends with the local fishermen.

Along with the news, Penelope Isles have announced UK & EU headline shows and festival appearances this fall with shows in Paris, London, Manchester, UK and more.

3 is Penelope Isles first collection as a trio, with close friend Joe Taylor (Anna B Savage, Iona Zajac) joining on drums, and the first they’ve ever recorded live. 3 was written on a monthlong surf trip to Lagos, Portugal and recorded live at Black Bay Studio in the Isle of Lewis off Scotland’s northwest coast.

After a brief disappearance into solo records touring, Wolter siblings Jack and Lily remained busy, Jack went out on the road as guitarist for CMAT. Both Jack and Lily released solo albums over the past year, as Cubzoa and My Precious Bunny respectively.
