Hua Li’s artistry shines through in “Closing Time,” as she seamlessly blends elements of electronic music with her enchanting vocals. The infectious beats, combined with Korea Town Acid’s atmospheric production and Boogieman’s expert engineering, create an immersive sonic experience that transports audiences to the heart of a pulsating dance floor

Along with the single, Hua Li shares a self-directed music video featuring footage of swivelling hips and shaking booties on the dancefloor at her recent set at Montreal dance party, Piknic Electronik.

Speaking about the genesis of the song, Hua Li expressed her excitement, saying, “This song came out of a really fun collaboration between Korea Town Acid, Boogieman, and me. We spent a couple of hours talking about K-Pop’s hold on everyone and reminiscing about 90s Mariah Carey classics like ‘Honey’ and ‘Heartbreaker’ over bahn mi before heading to the studio. We made all of these references collide into a slinky club track about dance floor flirtations and getting lost to the beat in the heat of summer party season.”

The creation of “Closing Time” was an organic and serendipitous process. Korea Town Acid found herself in Montreal, where she was introduced to Hua Li through Breakglass Studios, helmed by the talented producer Boogieman (James Benjamin.) Despite their diverse musical influences, the trio effortlessly merged their artistic visions, resulting in a mesmerizing house banger that transcends boundaries and resonates with listeners on a visceral level.
