“Heavy Pound” by Beach Skulls

Punk Slime Recordings recently released Beach Skulls’ debut album Slow Grind, which is now available on most formats. Formed in Liverpool and now also based in Manchester and Glasgow it’s some of the best garage pop we’ve heard in years, catchy songwriting, laid-back melodies.

Beach Skulls originally got started in 2011 as the solo project of frontman Ry Vieira and soon Jordan Finney joined up – with the line-up being completed after a trip to Berlin when Dan West took on bass duties. Over the past few years Beach Skulls have released a variety of 7” singles, tapes and online-only EPs while playing around the UK – and last year the band headed into Parr Street Studios in Liverpool to record their full-length debut Slow Grind over four days, with support from the Merseyside Arts Foundation.
