HAAi, the project of Teneil Throssell has dropped her EP of remixes of “Can’t Stand To Lose,” a track from her latest album, HUMANiSE. The London-based, Australian-born producer, songwriter’s EP Features remixes by producer and DJ ATRIP, Tom VR & HAAi (whose remix soundtracked an installation at Outernet earlier this year) and South East London-based artist NIKS, the EP is the final release in a busy year for HAAi, who, after returning from an Australian tour that included Meredith Festival, is readying a 10-hour set at Phonox, London on New Year’s Eve, a venue close to her heart: Phonox was the site of her first residency.

Talking about the remix, ATRIP says: “I don’t have the words to describe what HAAi means to me, both as an artist and as a human. HUMANiSE is my album of the year and getting the opportunity to work on ‘Can’t Stand To Lose” is nothing short of an honour. I’ve had a year with setbacks; that album carried me through. I was incredibly nervous to share this with Teneil at the time, but equally thrilled about how it turned out. We have both been playing it throughout the summer and I am beyond grateful it’s finally out.”

HAAi has recently performed two very special sessions. The first, HUMANiSE (live album performance, from Drumsheds) is a film by New Vision Originals of a performance that unfolds inside a meticulously crafted installation of a ‘90s office: a time capsule lined with ring binders, Rolodexes, fax machines, reams of A4 paper, and landline telephones – reimagined within the cavernous shell of London’s Drumsheds. The set becomes a surreal workplace with HAAi bringing the conceptual world of the album to life alongside album collaborators Jon Hopkins, Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Obi Franky, KAM-BU, TRANS VOICES, and the poet Kaiden Ford.
