“Greener” By Kid Quill

Kid Quill just shared the video for his latest single “Greener,” a track about going through the motions while thinking about how things used to be and could be better, speaking for a generation with the refrain “We was just kids when the world went from analog to digital.” The DIY video was created highlighting moments from the last couple of years that helped the Indiana-raised rapper find those “greener” moments – moments with loved ones, strangers and more.

Quill premiered the track live during halftime at the Pacers game on December 8th. “My dad and I were looking for pictures, and realized we were going to their games before phones had cameras,” notes the rapper who is also a global ambassador for the team. “Playing at halftime was such a full circle moment for not only me but people that have supported me throughout this journey.” He adds, “I bleed Indiana.”

“Greener” follows Quill’s recent tracks including “1br apt,” about the importance of confidence and being true to yourself; “Curbside,” an upbeat track that celebrates the simpler things in life and is a modern spin on an old classic; and “Mood Ring,” his collaboration with Toronto rapper Pressa that he released just before his standout performance at Lollapalooza 2021.
