Oslow is a slow burning slacker anthem with a crushing, instant sense of nostalgia and vulnerability.

It’s a collage of emotions – both real and imagined feelings associated with grief, resulting in a fable of the aftermath. Lyrically delving deep and exploring the connection & disconnection felt with a sudden death and the need to prolong a life.

Speaking about the song vocalist Chris Aitchison says “On a walk a close friend opened up to me about how much they were struggling at the time to stay positive. We walked for a long time and I told them how much I loved them and that I was there for them. I got home and was flooded by a fear of losing not just them, but anyone. “Oslow” is a blend of this fear and some recent raw feelings of grief.”

Their debut album This Is Not Your Fault is the result of years of collaboration together and was made with trusted friends and producers Jamie Lockhart (The Cribs, Mush) & Rob Slater (Yard Act, Crake) at Leeds’ prolific Greenmount Studios.

Green Gardens have dug deep within themselves to create a stunning account of blame & guilt through stories and fables – the record flows carefully and guides you on a journey through the stages of loss and ultimately, to resolution.

They will launch their debut album with a free headline show at Leeds’ legendary Brudenell Social on Friday 18th August.

The new album This Is Not Your Fault is set for release August 18th, 2023 via Come Play With Me Records / EMI North.
