Golden Apples, have announced their new full-length Bananasugarfire, will drop on October 27th via Lame-O Records (Hurry, Dazzy, Trace Mountains). Along with the news, The Philadelphia based band have shared Bananasugarfire‘s lead single “Waiting For A Cloud.”

Vocalist/guitarist Russell Edling discussed the new song, saying:

“I think Waiting For A Cloud’ is about how love is truly magical, how it defies all odds and obstacles and totally overpowers sadness and doubt. Almost unprovoked, true love simply arrives and suddenly the whole world feels different. It is imperfect, it is unpredictable, but as Daniel Johnston put it, true love will find you in the end.”

Led by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Russell Edling, Golden Apples have solidified into a full-band lineup made up of some of Philadelphia’s finest musicians. On Bananasugarfire, Edling is joined by drummer Melissa Brain (Marge, Goshupon, Amanda X, Cave People, Yankee Bluff), bassist Matthew Scheuermann (Lowercase Roses, Petal), and Mimi Gallagher (Eight, Nona, Year of Glad, Cave People).
