Glixen return with new single “lust,” the track is available now via AWAL and follows previous single “foreversoon.” The Phoenix, Arizona band is set to tour around the US until early summer alongside Interpol, DIIV, and SASAMI.

“lust” is about the yearning and wanting of somebody and the rush that that person makes you feel,” says bandleader Aislinn Ritchie. “It is a feeling that is shallow, yet it feels intense and passionate but only for a moment. We wanted to take the direction of our sound to a heavier place. I wanted the weight of the sound to crush me.”

Today’s track serves as yet another suspenseful peak through the curtains at what listeners can expect from their Sonny DiPerri ( Cherry Glazerr, My Bloody Valentine, DIIV) produced sophomore EP, due to drop later this year. The release of “foreversoon” marked a new chapter for the band, taking their sound into a heavier realm.
