Girl Scout have released their new single “Keeper,” the track is off the Swedish band’s debut album Brink, available March 20th via AWAL. The track is the follow-up to the Swedish band’s single “Operator,” Front woman Emma Jansson expels “I could never be a mother to myself or to any other // every lamb I leave to slaughter.

Continues Jansson, Sometimes a song can feel like a purge,” says Girl Scout’s Emma Jansson. “I really wanted to rid myself of every bad feeling and put it into something outside of my head. When making it, we had a completely different approach than we normally do. There’s a drumbeat and a bass-line and about a dozen synthesizers and pianos. It doesn’t really sound like anything else we’ve done before.”

The trio have already released three EPs in their young career, toured with Alvvays. For Brink the Stockholm-based band worked with Alex Farrar (Wednesday, Snail Mail) to mix Brink.

Girl Scout includes Emma Jansson (guitar, vocals), Per Lindberg (drums), Kevin Hamring (guitar/bass). The group of friends met while studying jazz in Stockholm who connected through a shared penchant for the garage rock and brit-pop sounds of the 80s and 90s. Working with producer Ali Chant (Soccer Mommy, Perfume Genius), the group released their debut EP Real Life Human Garbage in February 2023 and quickly followed it up with Granny Music in fall of the same year. Last fall, the band released their third EP Headache.
