“Ghost of Santa Fe” by Alberta Cross

Alberta Cross’ new music video for single “Ghost of Santa Fe.” Directed by Chris Rubino and featuring actor Craig Stark (Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight), the video pays homage to David Bowie’s film The Man Who Fell To Earth. A desert sci-fi setting, Rubino explains, “This video uses the sense of discovery through the subconscious. We are seeing through the frightened, yet enlightened eyes of our character. We become immersed in his hallucinatory visual world.”

The tune is featured on Alberta Cross’ newly released self-titled album, which was co-produced by Alberta Cross’ frontman Petter Ericson Stakee and Claudius Mittendorfer (Temples, Interpol, Johnny Marr). Recorded in Upstate New York at Dreamland, Stakee’s main inspiration for the latest offering stemmed from late night jam sessions he was a part of over the last year in NYC with other musicians, including friend Kraig [Jarret Johnson] of Golden Smog. The organic feel and nature to those late night jams had Stakee wanting to channel that vibe into the new LP. Stakee started to explore new musical territories.
