Today, alt singer-songwriter and producer Eyedress teams up with Mac DeMarco on “The Dark Prince,” out now via RCA Records. “The Dark Prince” marks the first of two joint singles from Eyedress featuring Mac set for release this year, with the second single out this fall.

Longtime friends and collaborators, “The Dark Prince” was co-written by Eyedress and Mac alongside Zach Fogarty and John Hill. The upbeat, breezy love song blends both artists’ signature styles with distinctive vocals and off-kilter production, tapping into influences of ‘70s rock and guitar-laden bedroom pop. Accompanying the single is its surrealistic music video, starring Eyedress and Mac as they play guitars and hang out at a castle.

Signing to RCA Records this year, Eyedress has released a number of records including Flowers & Chocolate, the two-pack project Escape From The Killer, and his most recent single, “Teen Mom.” Earlier this month, Eyedress performed at Head In The Clouds Festival in Los Angeles, where he debuted “The Dark Prince” to fans for the first time.

Mac DeMarco is a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in Los Angeles. Earlier this year, Mac released the instrumental album Five Easy Hot Dogs and One Wayne G, a collection of 199 pieces of music that clocked a run time of close to nine hours.
