Eternal Summers have announced that they’ll be touring in support of their latest studio album The Drop Beneath this spring.  Starting  at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar on April 19th curated by their longtime label Kanine Records, the band will then head out for a run of headlining dates and a one-off show with Courtney Barnett.  In May, they’ll join forces with Maximo Park for a handful of dates that will bring the band to the west coast for the first time to support The Drop Beneath. 

The Drop Beneath is the band’s third full length and was released via Kanine on March 4th, 2014.  The record was produced by Doug Gillard of Guided by Voices and Nada Surf and recorded, engineered and mixed by Louie Lino (also of Nada Surf) at Resonate Studios in Austin, TX.

Nicole Yun (guitar/vox) and Daniel Cundiff (drums) began making music together in the late 2000s after meeting through the Magic Twig Community, an artist collective in their home base of Roanoke, VA. After self-releasing one EP, the band signed to Kanine Records, an independent Brooklyn label, and released their debut LP Silver in 2010.  The duo hit the road to support the release, and after Yun’s guitar was stolen, they found the low-end of their sound lacking.  They brought in Jonathan Woods, who had ironically introduced Cundiff and Yun years earlier, as their permanent bassist.  With Jonathan in the mix, the trio immediately went in to record their sophomore album Correct Behavior.
