Electricity for Everybody! have sahred their new single “Tourmalet” off their forthcoming Graham Lessard (Kevin Drew, Timber Timbre) produced album Local Technique. The band ventured out with Graham on the tail-end of a blizzard, in below-30 weather, to the Banff Centre to record the album, resulting from this wintery session, Local Technique is slated for release in early 2015.

The new single, “Tourmalet,” is inspired by the iconic Col du Tourmalet climb in France—an extreme test of cyclists’ ability and belief. The band channels the riders’ energy, splicing their journey into weaving guitars and colliding cymbals, creating tension and release reminiscent of early Strokes and Guided by Voices.
