Today, Angélica Garcia deepens her immersion in her slow-building hurricane of electronic pop with a delightfully menacing remix from TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek.

“I loved meeting Dave,” says Angélica of the two coming together. “It felt like meeting someone from the same planet. I think it’s pretty cool that he constructed this remix using only my lead vocal as a reference. My favorite thing about the remix is that he was able to tap into the mysticism of the song but through a swirly, glittering lens.”

The arrival of “El Que” also signaled the release of its neon-colored twin track “Y Grito” which together offer battle-hardened mirror images of the same difficult and at times terrifying work of healing. Here Angélica is summoning reinforcements from another realm with the intensity of an exorcism. These themes are reflected in the visuals for the singles, too, wherein “Y Grito” represents a battle of the physical while “El Que” represents a battle of the mind. Both singles are connected in spirit.
