Eddie Chacon discovered Italian composer and producer Gigi Masin’s record Wind a few years ago and “fell in love with his musical landscapes.” After watching Masin perform at a Stockholm festival they were both playing at last year, Chacon dreamt of working with him. Now, Masin has remixed the title track from Eddie Chacon’s Sundown, adding ambient depth to the contemplative song about “being humbled by how little time we have on earth.”

Created with John Carroll Kirby, Sundown was started in a hillside home in Ibiza, and completed in Los Angeles. An exploration of life, death, growth, and the inevitability of change, the album is a follow up to Chacon’s adored Pleasure, Joy and Happiness – also produced by Kirby – an out-of-left-field comeback album following a two-decade hiatus from the music industry. Written and delivered with a wisdom and perspective that could only come from a seasoned musician, Sundown is the follow-up that Eddie Chacon never thought he’d make.
