Mount Kimbie shares brand new single “Dumb Guitar” alongside the announcement of their 2024 live dates across the UK, Europe, and United States, including a London headline show at The Roundhouse on May 3rd before kicking off their North American tour in San Francisco on May 17th. The North American leg will span across seven cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Toronto before wrapping in New York. Fans in the States can stream or purchase a limited 7” of “Dumb Guitar”/”Boxing” (ft. King Krule) via Warp.

Mount Kimbie have spent the past fifteen years crafting a vast catalog of some of the most seminal, enduring and influential music to emerge from London’s electronic scene. The band have continued to pivot and evolve across each one of their three LP’s, becoming not just one of the most influential artists across the British electronic scene but also with their most recent album, 2017’s Love What Survives, true vanguards of modern indie music.

Previous singles “Blue Train Lines” (feat. King Krule), “Marilyn” (feat. Micachu), and “We Go Home Together” (James Blake). The band toured extensively on the album, selling out venues around the world including The Roundhouse, Brooklyn Steel and more, influencing a raft of post punk bands across the English capital in their wake.

Written in California’s Yucca Valley and loosely based around a couple’s futile attempt to save a doomed relationship, “Dumb Guitar” continues in this mode, beginning with woozy synths reminiscent of the band’s first records before breaking into the frenetic guitar fuzz of Love What Survives.
