Today, producer and composer Daniel Avery announced his upcoming studio album Tremor, out October 31 via Domino Records. Inspired by lucid dreams, Avery’s latest project attempts to conjure a textured sonic journey. “This is a living and breathing collective,” he says. “Since the earliest recordings, Tremor felt like a studio in the sky, a space in time through which we could all pass as artists.”

“Itʼs the welcoming spirit of acid house with the doors flung open wider still to allow in every influence from my musical journey: the warmth of distortion, the stillness inside intensity, the transcendental beauty of noise… They have always been there in my music but now it feels like those ideas are being transmitted in Technicolor. This is a record for the post-rave comedown kids, the guitar heads and anyone else who wants to come along for the ride. Everyone is welcome.”

Tremor features a roster of interesting collaborators, envisioning them as part of a greater collective. Alongside mixers Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails) and David Wrench (FKA twigs, Frank Ocean), artists credited on the record include Alison Mosshart, yeule, Walter Schreifels (Quicksand / Rival Schools), bdrmm, Julie Dawson (NewDad), Ellie, yuné pinku, Art School Girlfriend, and Cecile Believe.

Today, Daniel Avery shares “Rapture In Blue,” his collaborative single with Believe, with the guitar parts provided by Andy Bell (Oasis). The song is accompanied by a music video directed by Zak Watson.
