“Cool 2” by Hoops

Bloomington, Indiana four-piece Hoops share their first-ever music video for their single “Cool 2.” An tune packed with lo-fi vocals and jangly guitars, “Cool 2” is from the band’s debut EP released in August. The video, which was directed by Anna Powell Teeter and shot by Hugh Sherman Donkin.
The Hoops EP was self-recorded, produced and mixed by Hoops, and is out now via Fat Possum Records.

Hoops just wrapped a U.S. tour that saw them open for Whitney and Car Seat Headrest. Now, the band is on their first UK/EU tour which includes stops at Pitchfork Avant Garde, London Calling, and more.

What began as frontman Drew Auscherman’s solo ambient project, Hoops ultimately became a quartet in 2014. Named for hoop houses in the greenhouses which Auscherman used to work in high school, Hoops draw on influences from Prefab Sprout and The Clientele. Hoops are currently working on their debut album which is expected in 2017.
