“Continuation” by fashn
fashn, is the New York City duo of Thomas Peters and Julius Dolls. Today, they are back with their first release of 2026, with the track “Continuation.” Originally formed in Chicago, the duo later relocated to New York, where they’ve become fixtures in the DIY scenes of Bushwick and Ridgewood. The track Follows, their previous “Talk Show,” which dropped last October.
The band has spent the past two years playing around New York and Brooklyn, including headlining at The Broadway, Knitting Factory, Alphaville, Mercury Lounge and more. Peters (formerly of Modern Vices) and Dolls (solo Julius Dolls) have independently released singles “13” and “Pseudo,” both mixed and mastered by Local Natives’ longtime audio engineer John Zott, in addition to their debut full-length album Darkside and their forthcoming sophomore album Sequel.
fashn’s new single “Continuation” showcases the duo’s signature sound. Blending gothic post-punk, modern indie rock, electronica, shoegaze, and darkwave pop, the track carries a cinematic, coming-of-age intensity. Moody, 1980s-inspired synth textures and atmospheric vocals create a sound that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
On the track’s meaning the band shares, “Continuation, finding the thrill in the monotony. Detached execution! This track is a representation of favored consistency over ambiguity. The only reality we want is the one that we create.”
