Communions stream new track “Eternity”

Danish band, Communions Stream New Song "Eternity" + 7" out September 16th on Fat Possum Records.

Danish, four-piece band Communions will release their new 7″, and debut for Fat Possum Records, on September 16th. Today the band has released a new track entitled “Eternity,” the forthcoming single’s aa-side and follows the previously released a-side “Don’t Hold Anything Back.” Communions are touring throughout Europe/UK next month with labelmates Sunflower Bean.

Communions – made up of brothers Martin and Mads Rehof and high school friends Jacob van Deurs Formann and Frederik Lind Köppen – began in 2014, releasing their debut EP Cobblestones on Posh Isolation, which was followed by a 7-inch and EP on Tough Love Records. These releases, as well as the forthcoming 7-inch.

The quartet came together at Mayhem, a storied local rehearsal space where most of Copenhagen’s new punk, industrial and synth scene originates and where Denmark contemporaries Iceage also rehearse. However, the comparison between the two Danish bands end there, Iceage take their cues from hardcore, Communions do so from the type of British post punk and indie pop typified by Creation Records.
