Coach Party have have shared new single “What’s The Point In Life” today, the latest single of their  forthcoming debut LP KILLJOY,  available on  September 8th, via Chess Club Records. Vocalist-bassist Jess Eastwood sings “we’re all gonna die, what’s the point in life,” the maximalist alt-rock track cherishes the freedom and the-world-is-your-oyster outlook that ironically comes with embracing the meaningless side of life. “What’s The Point In Life”debuts today along with a music video that sees the group living their best lives in a fictional post-apocalyptic world. The band have had an unbelievable summer so far; including stops at Glastonbury Festival, and supporting Queens of the Stone Age on several of their UK shows.

“At the last minute, we set out to write an opening track for KILLJOY, and “We’re All Gonna Die” as it was initially named, was almost fully formed that afternoon,” says drummer Guy Page. “It’s really not a negative sentiment, but is more our way of saying that life is for living. So, do what you wanna do, we’ll do what we wanna do, and then everyone’s happy. We ultimately share the same fate, so make your life your own.”

The band has released three EPs (2020’s Party Food, 2021’s After Party and last year’s Nothing Is Real) and toured with Wet Leg, The Amazons, We Are Scientists, and more. In 2022 alone, the band played 120 live shows including a mind-boggling night at the 97,000-capacity Stade de France supporting Indochine.

Coach Party includes Jess Eastwood (vocals-bass), Steph Norris (guitar), Joe Perry (guitar) and Guy Page (drums); all of whom met while growing up on the rural community of Isle of Wight and eventually crossed paths working in venues, playing together and meeting at the same gigs.
