Clairo has released a new video for her song “Terrapin” directed by Ayo Edebiri that stars comedy legend “Weird Al” Yankovic. “Terrapin” is from Clairo’s recent album Charm</em>. The video was created with the help of production company Curfew and is available everywhere videos are streaming.

The “Terrapin” music video embraces nostalgic muted visuals as Weird Al explores a prop film set in black tie attire complete with background dancers (Mykel Marai Nairne & Rachel Gill), goofy 80s double exposure closeups, and a cameo from Clairo herself. This marks the first music video directed by Ayo Edebiri, known for her SAG, Golden Globe & Emmy Award winning performance as Sydney Adamu in FX’s The Bear, for which she also made her directorial debut with season 3 episode 6 of the series titled “Napkins.”

Ayo Edebiri is an award-winning actor, writer, producer, director, and comedian, who is a tour de force both in front of and behind the camera. Currently, Edebiri stars in FX’s, THE BEAR, which debuted in 2022 to critical acclaim, earning 13 Emmy nominations and ten wins, including “Outstanding Comedy Series.”

Edebiri made her directorial debut in season three of THE BEAR and earned a Directors Guild of America Award nomination in the category of “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Comedy Series.” For her masterful portrayal of sous-chef “Sydney,” she won the Emmy for “Outstanding Supporting Actress” in a Comedy Series (season one) and was nominated for “Outstanding Lead Actress” (season two). She also received Critics Choice, SAG, and Golden Globe Awards for “Best Lead Actress” (season two) and was nominated again for season three.

She recently voiced “Envy” in Pixar’s INSIDE OUT 2, the highest-grossing Pixar film of all time, and will next be seen in director Luca Guadagnino’s highly anticipated feature, AFTER THE HUNT, alongside Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield.

Weird Al” Yankovic is a musician, producer, writer, actor and satirist best known for his indelible song and music video parodies such as “Amish Paradise,” ”Eat It,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” “White & Nerdy,” and “Word Crimes.” The biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time, his last album Mandatory Fun was the first comedy album in history to debut at #1 on the Billboard chart. His movie WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story, which he produced and co-wrote and which starred Daniel Radcliffe as Al, received the award for Outstanding Television Movie at the 2023 Emmy Awards. In June, 2025 Yankovic will embark on his 68-city “Bigger and Weirder Tour” including such epic venues as Red Rocks, Wolf Trap, The Kia Forum and Madison Square Garden.
