David Aaron Greenberg, multidisciplinary artist, poet, singer-songwriter, and visual creator. Today, the multi-artist announces his latest project, Trap Poems, a fusion of poetry and sound, and a term he coined to describe “a fresh approach to lyrical poetry.” Created in collaboration with producer and longtime collaborator David Sisko, the project marks the duo’s newest chapter together and is set for release on April 3, 2026. Ahead of the album’s release, Greenberg has released a video for album track “Chill.”

Greenberg and Sisko first joined forces in the late 1990s, forming Disco Pusher, a New York City–based songwriting and recording duo. Together, they have written for a wide range of international artists, including reggae legend Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals and Brooklyn-born artist Sandflower.

Greenberg was recognized early on by leading cultural figures, becoming one of the last protégés of Beat poet Allen Ginsberg. He performed alongside Ginsberg at iconic New York venues, and and has published numerous works of poetry, including Trap Poems & Lit Drawings. His visual art has been exhibited in galleries across the country, beginning at the influential Alleged Gallery—an essential hub of 1990s NYC that bridged skateboarding culture, downtown music, and the graffiti scene. Greenberg’s work is also held in the permanent collection at Stanford University. His critical writing has appeared in Parkett, Art in America, and Whitehot Magazine.

With Trap Poems, Greenberg expands on contemporary oral traditions, settings the stage for a dialogue between word and form by continuing in the lineage of Jazz and Nuyorican poets of the late 20th century. Working with Sisko, he pushes literary structures firmly into the current musical landscape.

The project’s first release, “Chill,” is a hypnotic, sleek, and psychedelic hip-hop track. In under three minutes, it moves between sensuality and danger, mystery and desire—evoking a sense of uncertainty while drawing the listener deeper in.
