Chanel Beads, releases new single “The Coward Forgets His Nightmare,” out today via Jagjaguwar. Accompanied by Zachary Paul’s violin and Maya McGrory’s delicate vocals in a hazy duet. From Chanel Beads: “I think I accidentally cursed myself at some point and I don’t know if I should ignore it or confront it. Written and recorded quickly, vaping too much exploring bad health. Brought to life with Maya and Zach and stitched up with Mr. Carlson. Dedicated to the love we are given.” Chanel Beads is the project of New York-based musician Shane Lavers. The new single follows Chanel Beads’ 2024 Jagjaguwar debut, Your Day Will Come.

“The Coward Forgets His Nightmare” premiered yesterday at a special surprise show with Chanel Beads and Voyeur at NYC’s Intercom. Tonight, Chanel Beads takes the stage at Madison Square Garden, opening for Lorde in New York City. He’ll continue on tour with Lorde with stops in Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., before joining Grizzly Bear for two back-to-back shows at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel. Chanel Beads will then wrap this run of performances with a headline show at The Ground in Miami, FL, before heading to Mexico City to perform at Corona Capital Music Festival.
