Chris Farren, has dropped new single “Cause of Death.” “Just tell me it could never happen to me!” – Farren pleads, as a swirl of distortion and slide guitar washes over its anthemic chorus. “Cause of Death” is about that morbid curiosity we all have (..right??) anytime there’s news of a death but the cause is left ambiguous. It’s a weird, kind of gross, voyeuristic tendency that I’m embarrassed about, but can’t seem to shake. Writing this song was an attempt to work through those thoughts and ideas. And it worked and I’m cured. –Chris Farren

Chris Farren will embark on a two-week North American tour supported by Maura Weaver Elise Okusami’s Oceanator. Farren, kicks off his tour on May 7th in Queens, NY, other stops along the way, include Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Toronto, and Pouzza Fest in Montreal, Quebec.

The new standalone single is supported by contributing musicians Lexi McCoy-Caso and G Leonardo of Suzie True (Get Better Records) on backing vocals alongside Chris Farren drummer and touring sidekick Frankie Impastato. “Cause of Death” is the follow-up to his full length album, 2023’s Doom Singer, which was produced by Melina Duterte (Jay Som, boygenius).
