“Cartoons” By Hollow Everdaze

Hollow Everdaze have shared the title-track from their much-awaited debut LP Cartoons, ahead of its release next month.

Paired with a hypnotic video directed by Alex McLaren (known for his work with ORB, Pipe-Eye and Hierophants), the stop-motion clip sucks the viewer into a wormhole rife with strange and surreal imagery assembled from second-hand books. The mazey video provides the perfect accompaniment to “Cartoons’s” driving, psych-infused rock – a sound that brings to mind a violin-soaked Jacco Gardner.

Founded by singer/songwriter/guitarist Daniel Baulch and bassist Jackson Kay, Hollow Everdaze thrive on the interplay between those members and Myles Anderson (violin), James Turner (drums), and Dylan Young (keyboards). The violin and keys lend a mind-bending immersion to the album, while sumptuous extras like cello and vocal harmonies complete a picture realised in the studio with rising Melbourne producer John Lee (The Ocean Party, Lost Animal, Beaches).

Having shared the stage with such indie institutions as The War on Drugs, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Wavves and American Football, Hollow Everdaze are ready to share with the world at large their debut LP in all its mood-swinging grandeur.
