Carlita and Sofi Tukker have collaborated on new single, “Manhattan.” The track is their tribute to New York City, and now available via Ninja Tune and DSPs.

Speaking more on the single, Sofi Tukker add, “There’s nothing like walking down the streets of Manhattan, head phones in, and life feels like a movie. That’s the energy of this song. It has such a happy, cheerful vibe that celebrates life and simple serendipities. It’s exactly how we feel about the city, and about Carlita. We made the music video in one of our best friends’ cars, and got to just hang out and pet dogs and drink Matcha… a perfect Manhattan day. We get to travel the world and experience the beauty of so many places, but there’s still “no other place like Manhattan” hehe. It’s been a constant home for us and the place we started the band… there will never be too many love songs for New York.”

Fresh from her appearance in Cannes, the release builds on a surge of global momentum for the artist. Carlita’s recent highlights include a performance at Annex Beach for Roberto Cavalli’s private event, a standout performance at Cercle Festival, and a collaborative B3B performance in Ibiza alongside Black Coffee and Kaz James. Looking ahead, she has just revealed two major all-night-long headline dates in Los Angeles scheduled for this August.

Carlita recently debuted a pop-up for her matcha label, Matchalita, at Miami’s Caracas Bakery, which featured a surprise appearance by JÜAN DU SOL. Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, she has been a fixture at fashion events, attending shows for Rick Owens and Gabriela Hearst during Paris Fashion Week, and performing for YSL Beauty in Madrid as well as GCDS during Milan Fashion Week.

Carlita is a Turkish-Italian DJ and producer from Istanbul. A classically trained cellist and multi-instrumentalist (drums, bass, and electric guitar) she experiments with a mix of live and electronic instruments in her productions, incorporating synthesizers, sampled sounds, and field recordings gathered during her travels. With influences ranging from Turkish psychedelia to rock ‘n’ roll.

Carlita has performed at Coachella, Burning Man, Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Sónar, Cercle, and Circoloco. In 2024, she released her debut album Sentimental on Ninja Tune.
