Brooklyn trio BOYTOY premiered a new single, “Runner”, today. Featured on the band’s upcoming self-titled debut EP, due out May 13 on PaperCup Music. Featuring Saara Untracht Oakner and Glenn Van Dyke on vocals & guitar, with Matty Beans on drums, the band spent the month of April doing a New York City residency at Niagara, and will celebrate the EP release, May 23 at Baby’s All Right, along with hitting Northside Festival in June. A summer tour is in the works. BOYTOY recorded the EP with Chris McLaughlin at his 1867 Studio in Chelsea, MA.

Untracht Oakner and Van Dyke formed BOYTOY in 2013 after the demise of their respective former bands (You Can Be A Wesley & Beast Make Bomb), after a 2am jam session was deemed successful. They have been a regular on the New York scene since, building a loyal local following, releasing their first single, “Visits,” recorded at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, last Fall. BOYTOY announced the EP with a premiere of the first single, “Shallow Town,” in late February.
