Ahead of the release of their new album Sunshine and Balance Beams, due out on August 15th via Sooper Records, Pile have shared the single “Bouncing in Blue,” a track about releasing control, letting go of certainty, and finding freedom from expectation. “Bouncing in Blue” follows previous singles “Uneasy,” a song that channels the horror of civilian death and displacement, and the lead track “Born at Night,” which explores the idea that enlightenment might be a myth, leaving only the ongoing cycle of suffering. The video for “Born at Night,” featured Deli Boys actor Shahjehan Khan.

On the forthcoming album, the band worked with Miranda Serra (Kal Marks, Kira McSpice), mixer Seth Manchester (Model/Actriz, The Hotelier, Deafheaven) and mastering engineer Matt Colton (James Blake, Depeche Mode, Band Bear).

Pile recently announced a 37-date, tour with labelmate and Sooper Records co-founder NNAMDÏ, along with a 22 City UK/EU tour to follow. They also recently announced their performance for Levitation Festival in Austin, TX, and a string of solo (Rick Maguire from Pile) dates in New England.
