Blue Daisy Streams New Track “Alone”

Blue Daisy has shared "Alone feat. Connie Constance," from his forthcoming 'Darker Than Blue'

Blue Daisy’s forthcoming Darker Than Blue arrives September 25th on his recent home R&S Records, and today he is excited to share newest song “Alone feat. Connie Constance.” Stream the track below

An unswervingly honest, highly personal album, Darker Than Blue instills Blue Daisy’s personal experiences into a cinematic meditation on the clash between the forces of dark and light, yin and yang, good and evil. Fans can hear title track “Darker Than Blue” now in a powerful, raw video directed by Kamil Dymek that saw its premiere via FACT.

Blue Daisy is vocalist, musician and producer Kwesi Darko. His debut single was awarded Pitchfork’s coveted ‘Best New Track’ status, and 2011 album, The Sunday Gift, was warmly received and heralded as Electronic Album of The Year by MOJO magazine. Then, in 2013, Blue Daisy rebooted and embarked on a new chapter by unleashing the defiantly NSFW track “Fuck A Rap Song,” opening for Public Enemy, featuring and producing on kindred musical spirit Tricky’s latest album, and starting what would eventually become Darker Than Blue.

Wrestling with inner and outer demons, Blue Daisy leads us on an intense downward spiral of a journey fuelled by uncomfortable truths, sleepless nights, love, loss, religion, faith and doubt. Unconfined to one specific genre, the record traverses brooding rock, intense rap, elements of the blues, and is imbued with a punk attitude and aesthetic throughout.
