“Blood On The Mind” by The Clockworks

Clockworks have had a busy year: releasing a numerous singles, and touring with Inhaler, Pixies and The Reytons; playing festivals in the UK, Europe and America; selling out headline shows in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. To close out the year, The band recently shared a video for “Blood On The Mind.”

Formed in Galway and now living in London, The Clockworks are James McGregor (vocals/guitar), Sean Connelly (guitar), Damian Greaney (drums) and Tom Freeman (bass). Making a unanimous decision to find their break in the UK capital, it proved a good one. Relocating in 2019, the quartet were signed by Creation records founder Alan McGee almost overnight.

James M had this to say about the track: “We like the idea of the feeling or emotion of a song changing or developing as you listen and we felt like this song did that by starting off with this taught, post-punk groove and then opening up and up into the instrumental. Lyrically, this track is about a dialogue between two very different characters. I wanted both characters to have their opinions and for the listener to decide what happens.” was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, produced by the band themselves, mixed by Adrian Cunningham and mastered by Christian Wright at Abbey Road.
