james K’s album, Friend, has been reworked by electronic pioneers Objekt, Drew McDowall (Coil), Hesaitix (M.E.S.H), Roza Terenzi, and Arushi Jain, as well as collaborators and contemporaries Special Guest DJ, Priori (who both co-produced elements of Friend), JASSS, Yushh and Loidis. AD 93 will release the remixes via digital and CD on 24 April 2026.

AD 93 shares album favourites, Doom Bikini (Hesaitix Remix) + Blinkmoth (Special Guest DJ VIP) as a double single. Hesaitix (aka M.E.S.H.) anthemic flipping of Doom Bikini contorts it perfectly into a new drum and bass form, and Special Guest demonstrates the beauty of friends helping friends by finding inspiration with Blinkmoth during a dry spell.

Special Guest says “I made this remix while in Naarm for an extended stay last winter (march/april 2025) I was stumped for a while, and then I found inspiration in like tearing it up and just making a youtube style garage remix haha”

Friend has taken james K on an extensive world tour, continuing the run this year with a sold-out show at London’s Barbican in April alongside stops all across the Europe, including Rewire and BRDCST festivals, before making her return to the US to close out her tour with headline shows in LA and a hometown show at Webster Hall in NYC.
