Black Lips have joined Fire Records, and have dropped the new single “Odelia,” off their forthcoming release, due early 2020. The Atlanta quintet are touring across North America before heading to Europe for an extensive tour this November.

Returning to their roots, Black Lips decamped to Laurel Canyon’s newly reopened legendary Valentine Recording Studios, and recorded the new songs direct to 2″ tape with engineer and co-producer, Nicolas Jodoin. The track is described as a “powerhouse of angst wrapped in traditional melodies, and a wild rumble fusing their musical journey from garage rock, punk and psychedelia into a mind-blowing hybrid of cosmic broken country, fragmented Paisley Pop and heart-on-the-sleeve back porch reportage, all delivered with vengeance in their eyes.”

To coincide with the tour there’s also a new mixtape Coming To Your Country now streaming – a compilation of unheard home studio recorded offcuts and unreleased music old and new (keep an eye out for a limited number of hard copies).
